HEAD COACH - DIEGO SAN PEDRO
Diego’s deep-rooted passion for golf, ignited at the young age of 4 and honed through over 14 years of competitive experience, sets him apart as a PGA of Canada member and instructor. From his first tournament at 7 to becoming a sought-after NCAA Division 1 recruit, Diego has embraced the challenges of the sport at every level. His journey has been shaped by mentorship from some of Canada’s top golf coaches, including his main coach, Brett Saunders of Morgan Creek Golf Course.
A standout in junior and collegiate golf, Diego represented Team B.C. in prestigious tournaments like the Junior America’s Cup and Eddie Hogan Cup. His crowning achievement came in 2016 when he won the AAA High School Individual Championship at Ledgeview Golf Course, finishing with an impressive -10 over 36 holes and a remarkable -7 in the first round.
Diego was the No. 1 ranked 2016 junior player in BC and he can help guide juniors achieve similar goals.
Training primarily at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club, Diego’s teaching philosophy centers on mastering swing fundamentals through a simple yet comprehensive approach. His method is tailored to resonate with golfers of all swing types.
At the end of each lesson, Diego will send a summary of drills and checkpoints to remember that you can use when you are practicing on our own — if videos during lessons work better, please let him know.
